Cobb's Lake Bridge reopens to traffic

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (the “UCPR”) announce that the Cobb’s Lake Bridge located along County Road 2 (Russell Road) is now reopened to traffic.

“Every year, we make improvements to our road network to ensure that road users reach their destinations safely. Cobb’s Lake Bridge needed major work, which went ahead as planned. We thank the community for their patience during the bridge rehabilitation,” said Jérémie Bouchard, Director of Public Works.

“Russell Road is used by many residents, businesses, and visitors to our region. It was therefore essential to extend the life of Cobb’s Lake Bridge. We would like to thank the Public Works team for completing this project before winter, a season when we often try to avoid secondary roads,” added Normand Riopel, Warden of the UCPR.

Work on the bridge began in March 2024. Due to the major rehabilitation of the bridge structure, lanes in both directions were closed for the duration of construction.
