Access and Services

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) wish to advise that access to its offices and services continues to be very restricted for health and safety reasons related to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Most employees working in the UCPR’s offices have been requested to work from home, until further notice. As a result, clients and visitors are also being asked not to present themselves on the premises.

If you wish to apply for Ontario Works or are currently an Ontario Works client and wish to leave a message, please call 613-675-4661, for the L’Orignal Office or 613-446-2020, for the Rockland Office.

Documents for any service can still be dropped off in the drop box, at the outside of the building by the front door (59 Court Street, L’Orignal or 2-860 Caron Street, Rockland) or mailed in.

The Social Services Department of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell is responsible for the administration of social services within its territory. It manages the Ontario Works program, Early Years Services, the EarlyON Child and Family Centre and the subsidies for the residents in domiciliary hostels as well as Housing Services to ensure availability to the qualified applicants who live in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.

Prescott and Russell Community Safety and Well-being Plan

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) have been working with their community partners since July of 2019 to develop a Community Safety and Well-being Plan, as mandated by legislation under the Police Services Act. Over one hundred community individuals, groups, organizations, and agencies have been consulted in this process.
