Take notice that the United Counties of Prescott and Russell have declared the following property as surplus to their needs: part of Lot 11, Concession 5, former Township of Cambridge, now in The Nation Municipality (50 acres). And take further notice that the United Counties of Prescott and Russell propose to transfer the above-noted property to the Nation Municipality subject to agreeable terms and conditions for the creation of a natural park which will feature multi-use trails.
UNITED COUNTIES OF PRESCOTT AND RUSSELL AND MUNICIPALITIES WEED SPRAYING OF POSTS AND GUIDERAILS

Herb-O-Dem Inc, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and participating Municipalities intend to control weeds along guard rails and posts along the following rural roadsides. This pesticide use is for the promotion of public health or safety under the public works exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban in order to control and protect against the plants that could affect public works structures. The list of roads to be sprayed within the United Counties of Prescott and Russell is as follows.

The following pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) will be used: ARSENAL Powerline Herbicide (PCP #30203), which contains the active ingredient: Imazapyr (present as the isopropylamine salt), ClearView Herbicide (PCP #29752), which contains the active ingredients: Metsulfuron – methyl and Aminopyralid (present as potassium salt), Nufarm ESTAPROP XT Liquid Herbicide (PCP #29660), which contains the active ingredients: Dichlorprop and 2,4-D (both present as 2-ethylhexyl ester).

From May 27^th, 2024, to June 14^th, 2024, depending on the weather.

For residents that do not desire weed spraying to occur in front of their property where guard rails and posts are present : Contact Herb-O-Dem Inc. at 613-632-3876 and/or your local Municipality for municipal roads and sidewalks and/or Nicolas Simard for County Roads at 1-613-675-4661. Residents also have the possibility to erect a “No Spray” sign in front of their property.

United Counties of Prescott and Russell - Consent Approval Authority

Take Notice that the Consent Approval Authority for the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell has received applications for consent under Section 53(1) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13 as amended.

Notice of collection

Appeal

If a person or public body has the ability to appeal the decision of the Consent Approval Authority of the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell in respect of the proposed consent to the Ontario Land Tribunal but does not make written submissions to the Consent Approval Authority of the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell before it gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.

Appeal of a decision of the Consent Approval Authority in respect of this consent may only be made by the applicant, the Minister, a specified person, or any public body not later than 20 days after notice of the decision is given. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Consent Approval Authority for the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell in respect of a proposed consent, you must make a written request to the Planning and Forestry Department by email at [email protected] or by regular post at the mailing address below.
