Child care centres for front line workers

Six child care centres available free of charge for front line workers in the UCPR

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) would like to inform the population that six child care centres are now available in the region, free of charge, to expand its support for health care staff and other front-line workers.

On April 29, the Province of Ontario expanded the list of essential workers who can benefit from free child care services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This list now includes staff in retirement homes, grocery stores and pharmacies, the food supply chain, and certain federal employees, including the Canadian military. Consult the complete list of eligible workers.

The six centres are located in various locations to better serve the UCPR population. Interested and eligible parents are invited to communicate directly with one of the following centres:
