Regional Solidarity Following the Events in Bourget

In recognition of the bravery of Sergeant Eric Mueller, who died in the line of duty, and in solidarity with all those affected by the tragedy that occurred earlier this morning in Bourget, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) have lowered the flags of the Administrative Office in L'Orignal to half-mast.

“I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Sergeant Mueller’s family, colleagues, and friends, highlight the courage of the Police Officers involved in this event, and offer my full support to the residents of Bourget,” explains Normand Riopel, Warden of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. “The community of Prescott and Russell is behind you at this very difficult time.”

The UCPR would like to remind area residents that the 211 service is available at all times to offer support in emergency situations. Anyone who needs help can also contact the Prescott-Russell Victim Services at 1-877-632-7530 or at [email protected].
