Golfing and Giving Back to the Community

On June 21st, 2024, at Casselview Golf and Country Club, 160 players gathered for the Warden’s Benefit Golf Tournament of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (the “UCPR”). Funds raised during the Tournament will be donated to social and community causes in the region.

Presented this year by Vice & Hunter LLP, the annual event sold out in just a few days and was marked, once again, by extreme generosity, great camaraderie, and good weather.

“Today’s Tournament was an important fundraiser for the UCPR. Thanks to our donors, sponsors, and golfers, each year, the Warden can support non-profit organizations, social clubs, food banks, and other charities. These organizations work to make our communities ever more vibrant. Our warmest thanks to all the participants of the Tournament,” said Normand Riopel, Warden of the UCPR.

The UCPR congratulate the players who won the following challenges:

  • Women’s Longest Drive: Amber Chapman
  • Men’s Longest Drive: Frédéric Beauchemin
  • Women’s Closest to the Pin Challenge: no winner
  • Men’s Closest to the Pin Challenge: Hugo Pouliot

Since 2018, the amount of $167,000 has been donated to the community through the Warden’s Fund. The funds raised by Warden Riopel today will be distributed at the Inaugural Meeting at the end of 2024.
